Meadows himself takes the lead as Jumbo, a slobbishly sullen petty criminal who sustains his miserable existence by pilfering from car-boot sales. Down-beat but never dull, with bitingly well-observed characters and caustically comic moments, all shot on a shoestring budget and a borrowed video camera. A rough-and-ready diamond.
