THERE WAS A CROOKED MAN (1970)
JOSEPH L MANKIEWICZ
Plot
Witty, if somewhat disjointed, Western with Henry Fonda as the dude in charge of a middle-of-nowhere prison in which Kirk Douglas has recently taken up residence. Hauled off to the slammer after being caught with his pants down, so to speak, in a brothel by the man whose money he's pinched, Douglas is cheered by the fact that there's $500,000 still waiting for him when he gets out. Fonda, however, has other plans for him. A sharp all-star cast western.
