Plot
A pre-Prime Suspect Helen Mirren models a stunningly cheesey collection of eveningwear in this 1980's melodrama set in London's clubland. Beaty is a woman of a certain age who's spent her adult life in a twilight world of seedy nightclubs, casual sex, illicit drugs and ruthless gangsters. When she falls in love with an American at her hostess job, he has to accept Beaty's baggage as well as the fact that her murderous ex-lover's release from prison is imminent. But her young lover has a secret past of his own, and it's just about to catch up with him.
