THE REBEL (1960)

ROBERT DAY

Plot

The better of the two attempts to put Hancock on the big screen was written by his regular TV script writers, Galton and Simpson. The first half, with Hancock turning from a suit in the city to a bohemian artist in Paris works superbly but the second, with Hancock succeeding as the leader of the Infantile school of painting breaks a golden rule by allowing Hancock unqualified victory over life's circumstances.
