MR AND MRS SMITH (HITCHCOCK) (1941)
ALFRED HITCHCOCK
Plot
Hitchcock turns his hand to slapstick, and does a damn fine job of it, with this romantic comedy written by Norman Krasna. David and Anne have kept their marriage going with one simple rule: neither of them are to leave the bedroom with an argument unresolved, even if this means David being absent from the office for a week! But on returning to work after a three day barney, David's first visitor - the man who married the pair - informs him that, due to a technicality, they've never been legally wed! Lighthearted laughs with a touch of Hitch's trademark deft direction.
