Made right at the end of his career, when faced with bankruptcy, Jacques Tati's 'Parade' is not the greatest of swansongs. Tati plays a clown in a circus whose acts are sublime, but the film contains scenes of members of the audience (actors) being invited to participate and their contributions are more varied. For Tati fans, though, the film is worth it purely for his artful contributions.
