Herzog's award winning documentary about the tempestuous relationship he cultivated with his long term collaborator, actor Klaus Kinski. The two stars being clearly insane, the film's strength lies in its anecdotal nature (including both men relating the numerous attempts made on each other's lives). A partnership as destructive as it was creative, Herzog and Kinski will go down in history as geniuses in their fields, and this documentary provides an excellent record of their shared narrative.
