Action thriller in the "race against the clock" mould, with Keaton as a creepy convict whose bone marrow is the only hope of survival for cop Andy Garcia's dying child. Finally persuaded to do the decent thing, Keaton's let out of the slammer, but, surprise surprise, does a runner instead. Which gives Garcia a splendid opportunity to engage in lots of high-speed car chases and spectacularly choreographed fist fights in an effort to track down the reluctant donor and force him onto the operating table before the kid buys the farm.
