Slapstick tale of organised crime and family conflict amongst three generations of gypsies, from the former Yugoslavia. Set on the banks of the Danube, the riotous action centres on the old-style octagenarian gangsters, their crooked and conniving offspring, and the youngest generation, whose touching romanticism bring a touch of whimsy to the proceedings. A twisty turny farce with a cruel humour and moments of inspired surrealism.
