While attending a conference in Prague Dr Lauren Graham (Gina Gershon) has met the man of her dreams. Jiri, who's a celebrated Czech writer, feels the same way, but the lovers both have painful secrets from the past. After impulsively proposing to Lauren, Jiri discovers that his father too is hiding a terrible truth, one that could ruin both his and Lauren's lives even if their love is strong enough to survive it.
