Quincy and Monica are childhood friends who share a mutual passion for basketball and, even though neither has ever faced it, a mutual love for each other. As both of them grow up, through childhood, school and university, they each seek the opportunity to turn their passion and ability for the game into a career, but along the way they find themselves forced to confront their feelings or risk losing what could be. 'Love and Basketball' is a slick and pacey romance, which intelligently raises issues such as the prejudices that young women trying to enter professional sport face.
