Violet Sanford wants to become a famous songwriter, but finding herself in New York penniless she lands herself a job at the funkiest bar in town, Coyote Ugly. Will she achieve her dream? will she overcome her fear of performing her songs in front of an audience? could they have picked someone else to write the hideous rock ballad she sings? What in God's name is John Goodman doing here? Why does the bar just look like a pub where the staff wont serve you? Why did I watch this?....Why? Why?!
