Plot

An immigrant is violently attacked on the streets, a clerk is degraded before being summarily sacked and a magician's act goes unpleasantly awry. The new millennium is here, but instead of creating an electronic shutdown it's causing a mental melt down and in the midst of this anarchy stands Karl, a man who has just realised the insanity of humanity. "Songs From The Second Floor" is a superbly original black comedy and was winner of the jury prize at Cannes 2000.
