Dawn is a month away from becoming a mother, she is also the reigning champion of the nations most successful gameshow; Six people are selected, given a gun, a cameraman and sent off to kill each other, the winner, not surprisingly, is the only contestant whose heart still beats. The contenders is a clever, witty and viscious satire on our ever increasing fetish for reality TV, its only flaw being that if you can't stand reality TV it's just too much like the real thing....Oh the irony.
