Based on a true story we follow George Jung from his marijuana touting roots in the sixties to his cocaine dealing peak in the money hungry eighties. Blow is a curious affair, slick, stylish and to a degree fascinating, but the re-creation of this enormously successful dealer into some happy go lucky geezer just trying to make a buck leaves you with the lingering whiff of eau de bollocks. Blow is by no means bad, ignore the hype and the 'true story' aspect and its a well crafted and occasionally gripping drama, it just doesn't have the depth that those sneaky trailers implied.
