Plot

An astronaut is caught in some kind of vortex which hurls him through space and crash lands him on a planet very similar to earth, only here the ape is the dominant species, not the human. Having escaped his captors our hero leads a rag tag group of people and empathetic apes in a search for his ship and freedom. Tim, Tim, Tim, how did it all go so horribly wrong, all you had to do was improve on the original film, and while the special effects are impressive everything else about the Planet Of The Apes is turgid, oh and Mark Wahlberg makes one of the most unprepossessing action heroes since 'Water World'.
