Barbara Ann was given up for adoption as a baby and after a brief period of happiness with a loving foster mum she experiences a childhood devoid of love or joy. As a grown woman Barbara has become the mother of five children and with the strength her parenthood has given her she decides to investigate her past and find her true roots. Deep In My Heart is one of the those films that puts an emotional gun to your head and demands you sob yourself dry.
